Personal Attention, Not High Volume
Unlike high-volume practices, Spark Eye Care provides individualized attention. Dr. Plummer personally manages your care from the initial consultation through post-operative follow-up.
Your Care Stays in One Place
Your exam findings, imaging, and surgical plan live with one practice and one surgeon, so nothing is lost between offices and you do not repeat your history at every step.
Informed Decisions
We believe educated patients make the best decisions. You will understand your condition, the available options, and what to expect at each stage before you decide anything.
Common Questions About Why Choose Spark Eye Care
What if I need surgery but want a second opinion?
Absolutely. We will provide a copy of your imaging and records on request. Many patients consult another ophthalmologist before deciding, and we support that process.
Do you offer vision correction surgery?
Dr. Plummer performs refractive lens exchange and premium cataract surgery, with lens options that can reduce dependence on glasses for distance, intermediate, and near vision. Ask our office which options fit your eyes and goals.
How do you handle urgent eye problems?
For urgent but non-emergency concerns during business hours, call our office at (512) 377-1076 for same-day evaluation when possible. For after-hours emergencies, our answering service can connect you with on-call coverage for urgent medical advice. In cases of severe trauma, chemical burns, or sudden vision loss when we are closed, go to the nearest emergency room.
Is Dr. Plummer experienced?

He graduated summa cum laude from UT Southwestern Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri.
